Swanage is nice this time of year, not quite so busy.

restaurants & shops. There is a wonderful beach bar that
serves up fresh seafood, wine/champers - very rustic.
Also a good location to tour round local Dorset.

Being so near the sea. Having a friendly charming landlady in a great B&B.
Dislikes:
Parking was not easy near hotel, but guess u can't have it all. Our top room had 2 small very narrow built in cupboards which were not easy for hanging up our clothes.

Clare house is very tastefully decorated and in excellent order. Breakfasts were great and relaxing and nothing was too much trouble for Dianne and her team.
I recommend this great BB to anyone who is looking for a place in Swanage as it is ideally situated close to the town centre without being too noisy. Only downside is the parking. It was a bit difficult to find a spot close to the B & B. Read less

Room very good, bed very comfortable. Excellent shower facilities. Good to have so much space, including a desk. Very friendly welcome. Ordering system for breakfast was good.
Dislikes:
Coffee sachets in rooms were not replenished, nor was the water. Yoghurt selection narrow (eg no plain yoghurt) and cereal quality fairly low and generic (eg no muesli; no sugar free cereals).
