Jackie and Colin are very friendly and there is a comfortable Guests lounge with log burner which was nice to come home to after we had been out for Dinner! we will be coming back for another stay shortly! Leworthy Farmhouse is located in the small, tranquil hamlet of Lower Leworthy, three miles away from the thriving market town of Holsworthy with its weekly traders and livestock market. Being at the heart of the Ruby Country it is ideal for cyclists, walkers and horse riders. Only nine miles from the seaside town of Bude, we are close enough to enjoy the stunning North Devon and Cornwall coastline whilst being far enough inland to escape the bustle during the busier months.
This beautiful Georgian Farmhouse has a contemporary feel with modern flat screen TV/DVD players and WIFI in all seven en-suite bedrooms, whilst retaining some of its original character and charm. Sitting within a three acre smallholding, there is a private fishing lake, small flock of rare breed hens and a host of wildlife to be enjoyed.
An impressive breakfast menu is served in the spacious guest’s dining room and delicious evening meals are available by prior arrangement. The guests lounge is comfortably furnished and has a homely feel with books and games available for your entertainment. You will be warmly welcomed to Leworthy Farmhouse with a delightful afternoon tea and friendly, attentive hosts.
Environmental Statement
At Leworthy Farmhouse we endeavour to be as environmentally friendly as possible, we utilise low energy light bulbs throughout the property and use Ecover cleaning products which "are made from 100% ‘Plantastic’ sugar-cane plastic which biodegrades quickly with minimal impact on nature, is dermatologically tested and leaves no nasty chemical residues", thus minimising our impact on the environment, which is important as all our waste water goes into our biodigester.
We also source as much of the produce we use as locally as we can and are constantly on the look out for seasonal produce, our lovely free-range eggs even come from our own back garden!
