We wanted to do walking and the staff were so helpful in describing where to go. in fact she lent us her book to use as a guide.
Very good prices i thought for both food and drink.
Rooms were immaculate and big. Huge bed with lovey crips white sheets.great storage, thought of everything.even where to put your muddy boots! Read less

having the rooms in an outside building was nice. rooms were spacious and well thought out,from coffee/tea facilities to all the complimentories in the b/room. great food, clean and like new.
Dislikes:
i honestly couldnt say that there was anything wrong with our stay or the rooms...perfect

The hotel was clean warm and comfortableand the food was excellent. The staff where friendly and helpful, also the Black Sheep ale was very nice.
Dislikes:
Would have prefered a shower to the bath but this wasn't a problem.

Spotlessly clean with every kitchen utensil if we wanted to self-cater. Very comfortable accomodation. Food was excellent with plenty to choose from, staff were helpful and always pleasant.

EVERYTHING! from the warmth and friendly atmosphere in the Bar, the quality of the accomodation, and there arn't enough experlatives to describe the choice and quality of the food in the restaurant.

The room was large and spacious,there were no issues in any way. In other reviews the trains were mentioned as a problem, whilst we heard them they caused no inconvienience. Excellent food!
Dislikes:
Personal preference only and in no way a critiscism was that the bed could have been a little firmer.

It was very convenient to have the pub next to the self contained rooms. We enjoyed an excellent quality meal and a nice bottle of wine with just a two minute walk back to our room.
Dislikes:
Only one small criticism,the breakfast was plentiful but overcooked.
