The owners were very flexible regarding timing so we were able to drop our luggage off and see the room before heading off to see our family. Location is great- lovely room in a lovely house.
Dislikes:
Probably would have preferred individual tables for breakfast rather than one long table

Thank you for your warm review. I am glad you enjoyed the stay and are planning a return visit soon as we will love to have you here again. I am sorry the table was not as you expected but Tovey Lodge is luxury accommodation in a family country home so this layout fits our intentions best. I must say many many of our guests comment that they love the comaraderie and chat at the breakfast table where guests form all over the world as well as different parts of the UK share their experiences.

Location/Privacy and a nice alternative to hotels.
Dislikes:
TV was in a strange location in the living room. Bath/shower needed a curtain to stop water soaking the bathroom.

Thanks for your review.I am glad you generally enjoyed your stay. The TV did ned to be retuned but I expect that was due to the digital switchover as it was the built-in digital freeview that did not work till it was retuned. As to the shower I am sorry if the glass screen did not seem to work for you, but it is a standard shower screen as sold for use for showers in the bath and has been found satisifactory by many other uses. I am glad these did not spoil your stay.

Deluxe Bed & Breakfast - 3 generous luxury Junior Suites 1st flr & 2 grnd flr top quality Bedrooms. 2 suites & 1 room have SuperKing pocket sprung luxury beds (convertible to twin singles). 3rd suite has a king-size divan & the last bedroom has twin beds. All with ample storage & top textiles & decorations. All have flatscreen FreeviewTV/DVD tea & coffee facilities large full bath & drench-shower ensuite (large walk-in drench-shower only in twin bedroom). All have unsurpassed views of our 3 acre garden the Ditchling Beacon & the South Downs National Park. Suites are larger with sitting areas.
B&B guests have free year round use of indoor Swimming pool Sauna & Hot-Tub large & sumptuous guest lounge one end with Inglenook Fireplace for guests & their visitors to meet chat or read & 50 inch flat screen TV at the other. Full English Breakfast or lighter Continental option is served in the richly appointed Dining room as well as lunch or dinner parties (Pre-booked 48 hrs in advance) for parties of 6 to 12 people. We are fully licensed so provide drinks in the Lounge guest rooms etc.
The ambiance is quiet understated luxury in a country family home.
Up to 2 Children can share in parent’s suites or 1 in the Ash room (1 travel cot offered subject to availability)
Self-Catering Cottage has 1 double bedroom with FreeviewTV & ensuite bathroom + L-shaped living/dining room with FreeviewTV/DVD 2 small (2seater) sofa-beds (sleeps 2 adults (1 on each) or 4 children) + solid pine table and chairs - travel cot offered subject to availability - fully equipped fitted kitchen private garden & washing machine/tumble dryer. All linens towels heating & equipment included - just bring your clothes and food!
Well behaved dogs are welcome subject to prior agreement and conditions.
