"Not what we were expecting"
Accommodation didn't quite live up to our exceptions from the advert. The entrance to 'car park' very narrow, getting narrower as it went down to the back of a motorbike repair garage to a piece of ground. Very loud thumping music playing until 12:45am. A mini car would be OK. Read less

The Star Inn main body built in 1745 is full of character, the main bar area although small is welcoming, our central bar provides a great place for discussion and our locals are nearly as freindly as our bar staff. Our open fire, beams and ambient lighting makes for a cosy setting. With the benefit of not being tied to any brewery we are able to promote a varied amount of real ales and offer a wide range of draught products, bottled products & bar snacks. We offer a wide range of traditional pub food, home cooked, that will satisfy all tastes. There are 3 flat screen televisions for all mayor sporting events largest of which is 50ins, a pool table, jukebox, quiz and a £70 jackpot gaming machine. There is a covered smoking area provided which leads on to our large beer garden. The beer garden in a perfect setting on a warm day, the garden has beautiful views and leads onto the River Eden. Children are welcome and will love the open space and the climbing frame with swings.

We have 8 letting rooms - 1 family room, 2 doubles & 5 twin rooms. All rooms are accessable from the outside so your movements will never be restricted. There is flatsceen freeview televisions in all rooms with tea & coffee facilites.

Edenbridge is only 30 miles from London, 49 minutes by train to London Bridge, we have two stations with trains running regularly throughout the day. Gatwick airport is a 30 minute drive or train trip away.
Being in the heart of the tourist area of West Kent the Star Inn is fantastic value for money that offers you a perfect base to explore the beautiful areas surrounding Edenbridge. Situated opposite Hever road, Hever Castle was the childhood home to Anne Boleyn, the 13th century castle is surrounded by magnificent gardens including the yew and water maze - a must visit! A few other places of interest are: Squerryes Court a beautiful 17th century manor house featured in the BBC period drama Emma, Penshurst Place, Groombridge Place Gardens & Chartwell.
