The hotel staff were extremely friendly and very very helpful. The breakfast was extremely good.
Dislikes:
The room smelled a little damp, it reminded me of mushrooms!

Braunton was a good base to see the Devon north coast and Exmoor and we had a lovely walk from Croyde Bay out to Baggy Head late in the afternoon.

Welcome to The George Hotel, a small comfortable 3 star hotel situated in the heart of the village of Braunton, with ample and easy parking in our own managed car park, situated opposite the hotel.
The bars are busy with locals and afford our guests the opportunity to mix with, and get a flavour, of North Devon life. The property has recently been lovingly restored to become the perfect environment for all occasions and we are open all year. Lunch time and dinner menus are available and now include a Thai menu. The hotel is also on the bus route with regular local bus services to Barnstaple, Ilfracombe, Saunton Sands and Croyde Bay as well as a National Express stop.
Braunton is ideally situated in North Devon for both business and for pleasure/sporting pursuits. Being within easy reach (4 miles) of Barnstaple, the regional town centre and also our beautiful beaches renowned for surfing, wild and stunning Exmoor, glorious Devon countryside and championship golf courses, the incredible sand dunes of Braunton Burrows and historic Braunton Great Field.
