"Friendly pub, good for short stay"
Stayed overnight for family get-together. Had an evening meal in the pub but not breakfast. Enjoyed some excellent quality Fullers real ale in the bar. Pub easy to find, good directions, handy from M25. Near centre of Chertsey but in residential area so fairly quiet, some traffic noise in the morning. Entrance to rooms from car park up metal staircase, didn't have to go through pub, car parking space available. Hint: use glass to fill kettle as it won't fit in sink! Read less
Likes:
Very friendly people in the pub, good basic pub food, good value and tasty. Comfortable beds. Liked option of not having breakfast incl. as we don't eat much first thing! Generous tea/coffee in room.
Dislikes:
Very small bathroom, too cramped to wash easily and not much space to put stuff but OK for overnight stay. Draughty through the old sash windows. Room only just big enough but again OK for overnight.
Response from The Coach and Horses:
Thank you for the tip about the kettle, we will have to sort that one out. Glad you liked the beer.

The staff where friendly and the food was lovely.
Dislikes:
You can't get from your room down stairs for breakfast, you have to go out side walk round the corner to the front of the pub in all weathers!
Response from The Coach and Horses:
We're really sorry to hear the other guests were noisy and made you feel uncomfortable. We will speak to them about disturbing other guests, thank you for your comments

Located in the Surrey Market town of Chertsey, the Coach and Horses is a traditional English Pulbic House. If you come to stay with us you will enjoy the relaxed atmosphere that staying in a tradtional pub can bring. We have guest accommodation in 3 comfortable en-suite rooms. The pub itself is a warm and friendly place where you will find locals meeting up, enjoying a drink, eating delicious food and enjoying each others company, many guests who stay with us become a friend of the pub and return for special events we hold. Roaring log fires are there to greet you on cold winter evenings and outside tables for when the long summer evenings arrive. We serve 3 Fullers fine cask ales: ESB, London Pride and Seafarers along with a range of quality lagers. We hold the Fullers Master Cellerman award and the Casque Mark for first class quality beer. Lunches are served Monday to Friday, with a delicious range of home cooked meals and evening meals from Tuesday to Friday.

Situated within 10 minutes walk of Thorpe Park, 20 minutes drive to Legoland in Windsor and 25 minute drive to Chessington World of Adventures we are very well placed for fun days out. Chertsey Abbey ruins are within a stones throw with the remains of this Abbey originally built in 666 AD. Chertsey Museum is a 2 minute walk away and has a wealth of information about this historic town. A short drive takes you to Runnymede (where the Magna Carta was signed.) Just a couple of miles further you will approach Windsor with a magnificent view of Windsor Castle as you enter the town. A visit to the castle is not to be missed.
