We stayed one night because of an early appointment in Guildford. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The service was very good: we had booked a double room but all of them were set out as singles, so the manager changed one for us. A bulb was blown in the bathroom but was immediately replaced when I mentioned it. Very good value for money. Read less

The room was big, and the location was great - right in the centre of town.
Dislikes:
No breakfast, it's a sports pub, "reception" is just the bar, patrons are loud and obnoxious (yelling at football on big TVs), mould on windows, limescale on bath, near-useless wifi.

The Albany is Guildfords' only independent gastropub, offering the best in home-cooked fresh food, fine wines and real ales. Whether its our relaxed lunchtimes, contemporary dining in the restaurant, the buzz of the busy bar or a cosy Sunday on our sofa tasting our delicious traditional roasts, we have something to offer everybody.
All rooms have recently been refurbished and come equipped with Television /dvd players, tea & coffee making facilities, mini fridges and hairdryers.
