We stayed for three nights over new year, and despite the cold and wet, had a really enjoyable stay. This was in no little part due to the accommodation provided at the West Wing of Clifton, which made the trip one of the nicest we've had. The owners are extremely friendly and welcoming, with great knowledge of the local area and things to do. They also prepare a lovely breakfast which is served to you in your own private dining area. All in all we would highly recommend this accommodation. Read less

The accommodation is well presented and in addition to a bedroom with en suite you have your own entrance with dining area and tea/coffee prep area, which makes for greater independence on your stay.

This four star accommodation is located in Kingussie, a picturesque and historic village in the Cairngorm National Park. Kingussie is an ideal base from which to explore the Highlands. The spectacular views make it a perfect place for walking or mountain biking holidays. The Cairngorm Mountains are half an hours drive away for skiing and snowboarding, and sailing and canoeing are available at Loch Insh and Loch Morlich which are also nearby.
Accessed through its own private ground floor entrance the three rooms, a dining area, bedroom and bathroom have solid oak floors laid throughout, with bespoke oak furniture. The bedroom has crisp sheets on the double bed, a suitcase stand and it is equipped with digital TV, radio and DVD, a CD player and wireless internet access. The adjoining bathroom is light and spacious with a luxurious double bath and shower and fine Scottish soaps are provided. You have your own private dining area, with a fridge and where you are welcome to consume you own food or takeaway meals, if you wish. Breakfast is included in the price of the accommodation and all our food is prepared to order on the Aga. We aim to use, where possible, local produce for freshness and quality. Our eggs from our own chickens and the bread is home baked.
Outside there is plenty of off street parking with garage and storage space for bikes, canoes, skis or muddy boots. The landscaped gardens are yours to enjoy at any time and you are welcome to come and go as you please throughout your stay.
