Thank you for visiting the Wentworth Guest House web-site. If you decide to stay, your hosts Mark & Ann will ensure you have a warm welcome, provide an informal atmosphere and will always be happy to help make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
Wentworth House is situated in the tranquil rural village of Aldbrough, near to the church. Aldbrough is on the coast just east of Hull, between Hornsea and Withernsea, and has a range of local services including 3 Pubs. The Guest House is currently rated (Visit Britain) as a licensed four star guest house. We also offer many of the facilities of a hotel, if required.
The distinctive house is spacious with lots of character, particularly the hall and staircase, and has some historical significance. The individually designed bedrooms are all ensuite, have Freeview television and internet access. Our large secure car park in surrounded by landscaped gardens, ideal for a picnic lunch. We are family & dog friendly.
Our breakfast menu includes full English, which uses locally reared pork and free range eggs, all items are locally sourced including our range of jams and marmalades.
The guest house is ideally located for touring East Yorkshire. We are central to 4 nature reserves (Spurn Point, Benpton Cliffs, Paull Sands, Tophill Low), two milatary museums (Fort Paull, RAF Holptom), four stately homes (Burton Constable, Burton Agnes, Sewerby Hall and Sledmere House) and of course the coatal resorts of Hornsea, Withernsea and Bridlington.

Environmental Statement
Wentworth House aims to manage its activities in the most environmentally sensitive way possible, whilst still retaining a high standard of service. There are four areas that we have targeted:
Energy — The hotel uses a lot of energy in both heating, lighting and laundry. We are reducing lighting costs by replacing standard light bulbs with low energy equivalents. Heating is controlled via the use of timers and thermostatically controlled radiators in guest bedrooms. We have installed a Photo Electric Cell system which provides up to 20% of our electrical energy.
Ecology — The grounds of the Hotel are homes to Hedgehogs, Bats, Owls, Rooks, Squirrals and the occasional Badger!!! Parts of the grounds are kept wild to help their survival and encourage all wildlife.
Recycling — The Hotel recycles paper, plastic, glass and compostable materials.
Local sustainability — We aim to source most of our produce through local growers and suppliers.
