The breakfast was rather monotonous, and seemed to consist entirely of fried foods.
The single room was tiny and the no smoking rule was problematic, as it was freezing outside. The heating went off at about 9.30pm, which didn't help. There was no solid platform for my laptop, so I had to place it on a cushioned seat which caused it to constantly overheat. The bathroom was excellent though, the room had a sea view, and the hotel staff were excellent Read less

The cold, and the monotonous breakfast
Response from Sherwood Guest House:
mr.maduekwe was a very nice guest and seemed to enjoy his stay. the heating was left on longer after he said he was cold.he also chose the same breakfast daily instead of a variation, which is available.we could of provided a small folding table for the laptop.

Sherwood is a real 'old fashioned' (in terms of service) guest house right on the sea front and very close to Hastings. Jeanette and her family are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are clean, homely, spacious and have everything you need for a comfortable stay. I would highly recommend it. The breakfast was very good. It is really good value for money too. Read less

A warm and friendly welcome awaits you at this beautiful Victorian guest house which is run by Jim and Jeanette Morgan.

The house and its rooms have been restored to a very high standard. We are only 10 minutes walk from West St. Leonards station and within easy access of main roads to London, Dover and the west country.

There is plenty of unrestricted parking around the guest house and we are situated opposite the start/finish line of the Hastings Half Marathon. The shops, cinemas, theatres, castle and pier of Hastings are only a few minutes drive away.

There are many sights, events and activities to be enjoyed throughout the year in the local area as well as walking, swimming and much, much more.
