Likes:
The pleace and quiet, the views, the centrality, the little bird tapping on the window presumably asking to be fed!
Dislikes:
You need not to mind the slightly institutionalised breakfast - you sit on shared tables. But the food was good and plentiful.

Likes:
We liked how quiet it was and that we could view the Salisbury Cathederal at night because it was so close to our room, plus it was a short walk to the shops and pubs in the main part of town.
Dislikes:
The mattress. We stayed in Rm. 101 and agreed that was the ONLY downfall of the entire experience.
Response from Sarum College:
The mattress. I am sorry that the mattress let us down in what is otherwise a lovely review. you were the last person to sleep on this mattress as the room was taken out of commission on 1st March for major refurbishment. the mattress made a journey to the nearest skip. if you were to make a return visit, the mattress should be new and we are en-suiting all our bedrooms.

Sarum College is an ecumenical education centre in central southern England.
Located in the Salisbury’s peaceful Cathedral Close – described by Bill Bryson as England’s “most beautiful space” – Sarum College is based in an elegant 17th century house attributed to Sir Christopher Wren and enjoys uninterrupted views of the famous medieval cathedral. Our Grade 1-listed buildings include a Victorian chapel, theological library and specialist bookshop.
Accommodation includes refurbished Wren Rooms (2007) all with glorious cathedral views, spacious Baker Suites with separate sitting rooms, and a range of modest rooms to suit all budgets. An excellent choice for long-term stays, all visitors can expect welcoming hospitality with home-cooked food served in our refectory and use of the Common Room and Bar.
Salisbury lies at the meeting point of five rivers in the heart of some of southern England’s most beautiful countryside. Sarum is just two minutes’ walk to the centre city, where there is a weekly market, theatre, cinema, as well as many excellent restaurants and shops.
At just 10 minutes’ walk from bus and rail stations, the elegant city of Bath, the natural beauty of the New Forest and the sandy beaches of the south coast are all easy day trips from Salisbury.
