A second visit anywhere can ultimately disappoint: nowhere is quite as sharp, quite as bright, quite as good as we remembered it being... but, if anything, our second stay at Saltcote Place was even more gratifying. We took along with us an old friend from New Zealand and I can honestly say that the two days we spent with our gracious hosts have now become firmly cemented as a highlight of his entire visit to Europe! Where does one start? The spotless linen and bathroom facilities? The attention to detail? The extraordinary breakfasts? Above all, it's the ambiance created by our very friendly and genuine hosts.
Dislikes:
I don't think you could find fault with anything at Saltcote. If you're looking for somewhere to escape for a weekend, where you can treat yourself to something very special, then you'll find it here.

Dual 5 star Gold award winning Bed and Breakfast, with Bridal Suite. - Close enough to walk in less than 8 minutes to the high street, far enough you cannot hear it at night, free internet. Unrivalled comfort, own entrance mains hot water pressure, can offer 1 or 2 or three bedroom suites.
A really friendly home, with many repeat bookings. All rooms are well finished with new beige carpeting and decoration in 2010. Large and comfortable beds, king size or up to 7 foot wide. We offer fresh flowers and fresh fruit in the rooms and a warm welcome with drinks on arrival. Our flexible accommodation with spacious rooms means we can provide the facilities to meet your needs. Saltcote Place is the most elevated property in Rye and enjoys views over the whole of Rye. Secure off road parking is invaluable as you will probably want to walk the 5 minutes to the town centre where parking is often difficult.
All rooms have far reaching views, some as far as 30 miles. Try our 5 star rated Gold award B&B or the Hennessy Penthouse Suite
The Hennessy Suite is only available 120 days a year and has 3 large double bedrooms, with either four poster beds in the main bedrooms or feature beds such as the 7 foot four poster Bridal suite. Ideal for those who expect the best from life - it is five star rated. We have many guests celebrating Wedding Anniversaries, Family birthdays etc. The way the property is arranged you can bring a larger group such as an extended family or a group of friends all will have their own space to chill out yet have the large warm comfortable drawing room to enjoy comunally.
You have the best view in Rye from the dining table. The suite offers plenty of space to entertain and relax. You have your own entrance and keys. You have access to the garden with uninterrupted panoramic views of over 120 degrees from Folkestone to France to Fairlig
