Likes:
Easy to find and good access into the town.
Dislikes:
Disappointed with the room, food and service. It is next to a busy noisey road and outside lights shone through the curtains.

"Functional but not for a special trip"
This is a functional hotel. The room was fine. The bathroom ok but a bit dated. No-one had emptied the waste bin in bathroom which is a bit off-putting. 9.15 was the last serving of the breakfast on a Sunday & we were warned that if we were late everything would have been cleared away. Not very relaxing for a weekend. Breakfast was ok but coffee very weak. Not much for anyone who didn't want to have a traditional fry-up. You get what you pay for and it was good value. Read less

A Warm welcome awaits you at the River Haven Hotel & Restaurant. This recently built comfortable Hotel of 22 en-suite rooms in the Ancient town of Rye is situated on the Strand Quay over looking the River Tillingham.

Our conservatory restaurant provides breakfast, lunch and dinner, from our interesting and varied menu, using local produce and suppliers. Al-fresco dining is available on the patio on nicer days.

Most rooms have a river view and we offer standard, superior and four poster rooms either double, twin or family. All of our rooms have hospitality trays, TV, telephone and internet access.

The centre of the medieval town is a couple of minutes walk with it's variety of shops, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants together with such features as the Landgate Tower built in 1325 as a defence against the French. Virtually the whole of the citadel area is a conservation area and includes churches, the Town Hall and a myriad of buildings of historical interest.

The Riverside Restaurant is located at the River Haven Hotel. Established in 1999, the Riverside restaurant has earned itself a reputation for good food, wine and ambience. It is an ideal venue for functions with its large open plan space and riverside views.

We offer an a-la-carte menu featuring local produce wherever possible. There is a separate children's menu and we are happy to cater for those with special dietary requirements. Our popular Sunday carvery comprises four roast joints and a buffet of fresh vegetable dishes.
