This was the first time we had used serviced apartments, and we booked this as I was unable to get rooms in a decent hotel in the city centre.
In future, serviced apartments, particularly of the quality of Newstead Wood will be my first choice.
Having the freedom of an apartment, as a family, was a great experience. We were able to relax as if at home, and to sort meals etc. to our preference without having to book restaurants etc.
The bed sofa and Z bed could have been more comfortable. Read less

The property nestles peacefully in a mature woodland location, not visible from the main road and is accessed by secure electric gates.
The location is easily accessible by road, rail or air and is a convenient 10 minutes drive from Liverpool airport and only 20 minutes drive from the city centre. The apartment is perfectly situated in Woolton, withinwalking distance to Woolton Village and Allerton Road, which both provide an array of restaurants, wine bars and cinemas. Of importance to Beatles fans and tourists alike, the apartments are situated next door but one to the famous Strawberry Fields and just around the corner from “Mendips”, 251 Menlove Avenue, the childhood home of John Lennon. The apartments are also an ideal base for those wishing to visit the famous Liverpool Football Club at Anfield, or Everton Football Club at Goodison Park.
This is also a perfect base for visitors to the Grand National at Aintree in April, or the Liverpool International Tennis Tournament in Calderstones Park in June...the park is a short walk from the apartments.
Each apartment accommodates a maximum of 4 guests in two double bedrooms, one of which is ensuite. In addition, one apartment can accommodate 6 guests. Both bathrooms in each apartment are fully tiled, one with bath and shower over bath and the ensuite providing a shower cubicle. The kitchen is fully equipped, complete with black granite worktops. Bedrooms are fully furnished with mirror wardrobes, good quality bed linen and towels provided.
