Lovely large clean room with excellent facilities.
Dislikes:
Heating on full as large single glazed windows cool the room in winter.No Breakfast until 8am on saturday.Nobody at reception for 7.30am check-out.
Had to queue for bar meal after long journey.

Ample parking space and would probably appeal to the business traveller and tourists willing to park and walk. Read less

Room (clean and seemed newly refurbished), amenities in room, free wifi (bit plus).
Restaurant is seafood and is good. Some restaurant dishes are pricey but the bar serves good food.
Dislikes:
Rooms can be of variable quality and size - particularly singles.
Traffic (but thats nothing to do with the hotel)

The staff is what I liked most about the stay. Also the safe environment proved to be a positive. I travel alone most of the time, and I felt welcomed in the hotel.
Dislikes:
I could never get the internet to work in my room. I had to work downstairs in either the bar or the dining room.

The Mariner Hotel is a family-run hotel located in a predominantly residential area in the West End of Aberdeen, Scotland, just 5 minutes from Aberdeen city centre and 15 minutes from the Airport and Exhibition Centre.
The Mariner Hotel offers: quality ensuite accommodation, including suites with kitchen facilities, central heating, satellite TV, trouser press and tea/coffee making facilities and private offstreet parking for 50 cars.
The Mariner is home to Atlantis Restaurant, one of the North East's best loved restaurants and recently awarded AA rosette. Both Atlantis' extensive a la carte and fixed price menus have a seafood theme, but also offer a wide range of alternative dishes, including the world famous Aberdeen Angus Steak; and on Sunday lunchtimes the restaurant operates a carvery of roast local meats.
We are happy to provide guests with free Wi-Fi broadband in all rooms and public areas at the hotel.
The hotel is well located for visits to Royal Deeside, and close to several quality golf courses.
