Our AA Rosette restaurant, Cotters also has open aspects and prides itself on the freshness and quality of locally sourced seafood, beef and lamb. Golf is just one of the many available leisure activities as well as the Turnberry Golf Course, the National Trust for Scotland jewel in the crown, Culzean Castle is just a few miles north. Being an Ayrshire Hotel it’s impossible not to mention Robert Burns, Burns Cottage in Alloway which again is just a short drive away along with the Burns National Heritage Park which will house the National Trust for Scotland’s new Robert Burns Birthplace Museum set to open in 2010.

You can also visit the Brig O’Doon, Burns Monument and the Tam O’Shanter experience. Historic sites like Culzean Castle and Crossraguel Abbey are just a few of the places to visit in Ayrshire, also there’s plenty to do for the outdoor enthusiast from walking and cycling to horse riding and fishing, and as well as Turnberry Golf Course there is Troon Open Golf Course which also hosts the Open Golf Championship and Prestwick Golf Course where the first ever Open Golf Championship was held!
