On arrival the hotel had a strong smell of damp, the rooms were ok but on the small side, the TV in one room wasnt working and the en suite was so small you had to slide under a sink to be able to sit on the toilet! also we was told to keep the door shut or the alarms would go off.We booked online and paid full price for 4 adults and 4 children yet there was a price board stating child are half price! there was no space to park we had to park over the road which cost a fortune Read less

For the same price as a holiday inn or premier inn i'd take these rather this hotel.very dated and shabby looking. bathroom looked like it had been repaired by a cowboy and the decour would have been dated 10 years ago. the true shame of this is that a coat of neutral coloured paint instead of the dark blue that exists and removing all the stuff in the hallways which looks like the left overs from a car boot and this hotel would be intstantly elevated this hotel no end! the room was clean, but the bathroom wasnt great. the bed was comfy and overall the hotel was clean. breakfast was ok, but again with a bit more tlc could have been much better.
Dislikes:
general state of it was disappointing and again small investment and a bit of taste could elevate it to its competitors on the same street. given the overall standard i felt it was expensive

The Highbank Hotel is situated in a superb central location, within easy walking distance of the famous Blackpool Tower, Promenade, Winter Gardens, Town Centre and the superb Hounds Hill shopping centre. Just a short Bus or Taxi ride away is the renowned Stanley Park, Model Village, Zoo and North Shore Golf Course. Parking spaces are limited and are first come, first serve.
Take a tram ride North to Cleveleys or the fabulous free port shopping centre at Fleetwood, or South to the Pleasure Beach, South Shore shops, St Annes, Fairhaven Lake or Lytham. In Blackpool there is so much to do and see you will need more than a few days to see it all.
We are in an excellent location for family holidays, conference delegates and dance competitions. PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT CATER FOR STAG OR HEN PARTIES, ONLY COUPLES & FAMILIES.
