Glenville House

Glenville House is a self catering accommodation (no food provided). The 2 en-suite bedrooms, living room & kitchen have recently undergone a full refurbishment. A recently refurbished modern large 2 bedroom flat situated a 12-15 minutes walk to York City centre. The main bedroom has a double bed & a single bed, the second bedroom has 2 single beds in which can be pushed together if so required. If you require wi-fi this can be accessed 3 doors along at the Heworth Guest House at no charge.

The accommodation is located 12-15 minutes walk to York City Centre (1 mile). York Train Station is approximately 5 minutes via Taxi (approx £6.00-7.00). There are a choice of places to eat close by. York University is located approximately a 5 minutes car drive away. There is a regular Bus Service to the University, Monks Cross and the Railway Station.

During the evening you could take a Ghost Walk around the City, a stroll down the Shambles, Stonegate or a Cruise on the Ouse. Pre-booking the Jorvik Centre can be made. York Castle Museum and York Minster are two top attractions. This York self catering is ideally situated for day trips to the Yorkshire Moors, Dales and the Coast. Castle Howard is only 14 miles out of York. Just a little further is Pickering where you will find The North Yorkshire Moors Railway, an 18 mile journey on a Steam Train through beautiful Yorkshire countryside finishing at the historic coastal town of Whitby. "Mousey" Thompson the furniture makers can be seen in the Thirsk area (Kilburn). Thirsk, where James Herriot (James Alfred Wight) practiced, is approximately 24 miles from York.
