We chose the Dormy House hotel for a short, wedding anniversary break and were attracted by the dinner, bed and breakfast package which appeared to be good value. We were not disappointed.
The hotel is just on the edge of West Runton about 3 miles from Cromer and is only 400 metres from the sea. It is clean and comfortable and the room was warm and cosy with all the facilities you would expect. The staff were friendly and the food was excellent. We are planning to go again next year! The warm welcome, the friendly staff and the lovely food. The room was spacious and comfortable. Everthing was clean and tidy and the Valentine's Dinner was a wonderful treat.
Dislikes:
It is hard to pick fault as everything was so good. Perhaps the only minor grumble was that a rather heavy footed person was in the room above and the floorboards creaked.

The Dormy House is a small family Hotel with lots of character and run to a very high standard by the Jarvis Family with Staff who endeavor to create a warm and friendly atmosphere with exceptional hospitality and service.
The commitment starts on your arrival in Reception with our smiling Receptionist to welcome you and help you settle into your room. There are nearby facilities for squash, tennis and swimming, and a varied selection of local museums, wildlife parks and attractions to make your stay a memorable one. Close to West Runton are a number of interesting National Trust properties and the famous North Norfolk Steam Railway.
All the Bedrooms are tastefully appointed with ensuite showers or bath, many have both. All have direct dial telephones, tea & coffee making facilities, remote control digital TV with 9 channels, trouser press, hairdryer and many offering coastal views.
A six person lift is provided for those not wishing to negotiate the stairs. The housekeeper is available in the mornings to make sure everything is up to standard.
You can relax and enjoy the beautiful sea views from our bar for pre or after dinner drinks before heading through to our restaurant.
