Description

Visit Scotland 4 Stars Bed & Breakfast

Built in the early 20th century Strathview has been carefully and lovingly refurbished and renovated to offer you large, bright, airy rooms each with it's own wonderul view. Situated just off the main A9 trunk road it is surprising how peaceful it is.

Ideally situated to discover the whole North of Scotland and the Orkney Isles in a day, then return to Strath View for some well earned rest. Strath View is situated just above Loch Fleet with it's internationally renowned RSPB Nature Reserve, watch the ospreys plummet in to catch the fish, or the oyster catchers busily poking in the mud, there's a myriad of birdlife here, we even have a cuckoo close by. You may even be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the little deer who come into the garden in the early morning mists. Golfing is ever popular in Sutherland and we have many courses within easy driving distance some of them little known gems but proving very popular with our more discerning golfing guests.

If you're looking for history then loook no further, you'll be spoilt for choice emigration, clearances, battles, they all happened here. Painters and photographers never tire of finding new places to capture and if you've seen it before, wait a few minutes, the light will change and it's all new again. We have three internationally respected distilleries in the area, The Dalmore, Glenmorangie and Clynelish, you have to try their products. which is best? If you want to explore some castles, well we have those too, Dunrobin just 6 miles away and further away but well worth the drive is the lovely little Castle of Mey.

Please note that 4.00pm to 6.00pm is our PREFERRED check in time but earlier or later check ins are very welcome with prior arrangement.
