Also close by are the historic towns of Beverley, Malton, and Pickering, Pocklington and of course the City of York. Burnby Hall Gardens the home of the biggest hardy water lilies in Europe is an enchanting place,feed the huge fish ,explore the hidden gardens,just sit and enjoy the sunshine listen to the bands playing on a sunday. There is also Flamingo Land, Cruckley Petting Farm, Allerthorpe Water Park, Elvington Air Museum and lots more attractions for the kids.
For those wanting to do some bird watching,there is North Cave Wetlands,Blacktoft Nature reserve, as well as Bempton Cliffs and Flambrough Head.
