Description

Self Assessed 3 Stars Guest House

New Road House is a Grade 2 listed Victorian Townhouse with a wealth of period features. The house is close to the town centre, mainline railway station and easily accessible from J17 of the M4. We have 10 bedrooms, a mixture of singles, doubles, twins and family rooms between the Main House and the Coach House Annex. There's ample off-road parking and free wireless broadband internet. Oh and Breakfast really is absolutely fantastic!

Chippenham is set on a prominent crossing of the River Avon and lies between the Malborough Downs to the East, the Cotswolds to the North and West and Salisbury Plain to the South. Surrounding the town are a number of stone-built villages, including Lacock (National Trust), Biddestone and Castle Combe. The great house and art treasures of Longleat, Bowood, Lacock Abbey, Sheldon Manor and Corsham Court are within easy reach.

If you have an interest in local history, not only for Chippenham but the whole of Wiltshire, then a visit to the Swindon and Wiltshire History Centre, the county's repository of historic documents going back 800 years, is a must.
