Description

Visit Britain 3 Stars Bed & Breakfast

The owners of Mulberry House, Keith and Jean Burrows, are passionate about good service, and Gloucester has been their family home for nearly thirty years, so undoubtedly, should you need any information on what to do during your trip - be it recommendations for unmissable destinations within the city centre, day trips out, or where to go to eat in the evening - we have the passion and enthusiasm to give you a good list of options!

Gloucester, the ancient capital of the beautiful county of Gloucestershire, is a popular cathedral city that also boasts England’s most inland harbour. Visitors to the city are astounded by the splendour of its magnificent cathedral and the huge Victorian Harbour and waterfront that connects with an interesting range of historic buildings, shops, bars and restaurants.

Mulberry House is within walking distance of the cathedral, the docks and the city centre, which also contains a number of real gems. For instance, the House of the Tailor of Gloucester, is the actual shop that Beatrix Potter drew when illustrating her famous story “The Tailor of Gloucester”, and there are two fine museums which tell the story of this extraordinary city which was founded nearly 2000 years ago by the Romans.
