Description

Self Assessed 4 Stars Guest House

Rollestone Manor is a beautiful grade II listed house steeped in history and was the Smith family home for more than sixty years. Rollestone Manor has many hundreds of years of history in its walls and was listed in the Doomsday book as belonging to Cudulf – the Earl of Northumbria, and it was worth a staggering £3! In 1242 the land surrounding the Manor was subject to a Knight’s fee – a piece of land given to a Knight by the King, to support him for one year whilst carrying out his Knightly duties.

While the house has been subjected to several remodelling projects over the years, the most recent incorporated 21st century features, but its enchanting period features remain prominent throughout.

All of our 7 ensuite bedrooms, named after some of the many owners of the Manor, offer comfort and quality whilst having an individuality of their own. They are all furnished with the antique furniture which has been in this home for years and which compliments the period features found here. We have a range of double rooms, twins, a Kingsize and a Four-Poster bedroom, with a roll-top bath in the bedroom!

Modern day comforts are available and all rooms benefit from multi channel TV, DVD/CD player, radio, ipod/pad docking station, complimentary wifi and tea & coffee making facilities.

We are ideally located on the edge of the village of Shrewton just 3 miles from the World Heritage Site of Stonehenge and minutes from the A303, with easy access to the cities of Salisbury and Bath.
