Breakfast was fantastic, so many different homemade preserves, honeys, mueseli types I lost count. Fresh fruit & local yoghurt to die for and a lovely cooked breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble.
Dislikes:
Maybe the host should refrain from debating controversial topics with his guests. We felt quite uncomfortable & tried to stop but were encouraged to continue. We were there to relax not be converted.

We were extending a visit to relatives in Yorkshire by exploring in County Durham for a couple of days. Low Urpeth Farm was exactly what we wanted. The welcome was just right, some helpful advice about local places for an evening meal, tea and cake when we arrived. We enjoyed a very relaxing and comfortable night followed by a delicious breakfast. Read less

Very comfortably furnished and spotlessly clean. Conveniently situated for Beamish Museum, Newcastle and Gateshead and in a pleasant rural setting. The food and welcome were second to none.

The comfortable room, the quietness, the luxury of the toiletries, the superb breakfast - it was perfect. Hilary and Peter are superb hosts. The wi-fi reception was excellent.
Dislikes:
The television reception was very poor but I think that this was due to a combination of the appalling weather and the digital change over which was taking place.

We spent three nights at Low Urpeth Farm in August, while we attended a wedding. The farm is brilliantly placed, central, while feeling like you are miles from anywhere. The room was lovely (we stayed in the Queen Anne room). Huge white towels, dressing gowns, molten brown toiletries, fluggy pillows and seats that were comfortable. Loads of storage, in fantastic antique furniture. The breakfasts were huge, the range was excellent, food was tasty and the Plum chutney with the sausages is a must! Read less

Everything, the friendliness and welcome was great. Useful inormation was given and there are enoough leaflets and booklets to be able to plan even the fussiest of holidaymakers. It was excellent.

the farm house is a beautiful stone building.the room
with the antique furniture was a sight to behold.the
welcome was warm and friendly.breakfast a gourmet
