Description
At this year's Scottish Hotel Awards we were proud to win both a FINE-DINING AWARD for the quality of our food but also the HOST WITH THE MOST AWARD for our hospitality. The Scottish Hotel Awards are Scotland's premier national hospitality awards and we have now won 5 of their awards in the last 4 years.
Set amidst the quiet elegance of the town's conservation area, and yet only a few minutes from the hustle and bustle of Main Street and the Fisherman's Pier, Highland Cottage is a haven of genuine hospitality, well-appointed comfortable bedrooms and exceptional cuisine - every bit a genuine home-from-home as much as a small upmarket hotel.
Highland Cottage is a small, purpose-built hotel, designed, built and operated by the The Proprietors of this lovely establishment. Both are career professional hoteliers and bring many years of experience to their roles as "mine hosts". The aim at Highland Cottage is to make it a genuine home-from-home for every one of our guests. With only 6 bedrooms, the service could not be more personal.
The Isle of Mull offers its visitors a truly magical experience. From the rolling hills to the dramatic coastal cliffs, you are sure to be enchanted by this most magestic of Scottish isles.
Mull is an ideal spot to rest, take it easy and just chill out. Fancy a bit more than that? Then take a drive around the quiet island roads (no traffic lights, one roundabout), enjoy the sights and marvel at the scenery. Fancy a bit more than that? Get in a bit of hill-walking, make the day-trip to Iona. visit Staffa and the Treshnish Isles, commune with the puffins. Even climb Ben More, one of Scotland's Munros for those who know about such things.
