This property has been the subject of extensive renovations by globally syndicated photographer and Chelsea Flower Show gold medal winner Shahriar Mazandi, designer of the Lalique Garden, Chelsea 2005, as listed in Wikipedia under 'Chic Style'.
Guest rooms have been hand painted in eco-limewash; a rich and lush paint free of noxious chemicals as used in conventional paints. Linen is Egyptian or organic cotton and bathrooms and shower rooms are in noce travertine mosaic or crema marfil stone tiles. The bedrooms, dining room and the two reception rooms, welcome visitors with contemporary photography, art books, objects found, wood burning stoves.
All in-house laundry and cleaning is with eco-friendly products - no harsh, toxic chemicals. Soaps and shampoos are SLS and paraben-free. Hot water is provided by three large solar panels.
The garden, a town garden with sea views, remains a work in progress but has apples, pears and plums, an assortment of herbs including sage, rosemary, several varieties of mint, blueberries, cranberries and various other culinary plants that are offered to guests when in season. We also have an alcohol licence.

Please also be aware that while some websites and booking systems affiliated with this site will either take full payment or a deposit via credit cards, we are now no longer processing credit cards at the B&B. If you've paid your deposit online via card, the balance can be paid in cash or by cheque or bank transfer, details of which will be shared with you after check-in.
Environmental Statement
All food, as far as possible, is organic. Soaps and shampoos are free of parabens, SLS and other harmful ingredients commonly found in supermarket products, In-house laundry, likewise is undertaken with 'Eco Balls' which use aionic surfactants, or other detergents, again, free of parabens, Sodium Lauryl Sulphate and other harmful chemicals. Three large solar panels provide The Cloudesley with hot water. A large water storage tank has been installed within the front garden that can be used for watering plants. No harmful chemicals or noxious pesticides are used in the garden. Fresh mint and lemon balm teas are fresh from the garden. This year diluted cooking oil, liquid hand soap and hot cayenne pepper have been used on the fruit trees in place of insecticides.Limewash has been used in most of the property - This paint is free of the solvents and chemicals found in the vast majority of regular paints. The property as a whole has been designed with the environment in mind.
