 Looked for a BB close to the University and reasonably priced. When I saw the fare quoted, I told myself that I would be out most of the time anyway and that at the end of the day all I needed was a bed. I got a lot more than that…

Banister House is located just one mile from Southampton City Centre and run by the proprietors, Alain and Sue Ridley, whose aim is to give you a warm welcome and provide a friendly atmosphere to make your stay memorable.

The guestrooms have modern decor with light-wood furnishings; all include tea and coffee making facilities, direct-dial phones and televisions and complimentary WIFI access. Guests can start the day with a full English breakfast, ask staff at the front desk for tour assistance, and make use of complimentary parking.

This family-run guest house has a prime location in a residential area, walking distance from local restaurants, bars and shops, and convenient for the station, hospitals, theatres, common, universities and 5 miles from Southampton Airport.
