Independence was a great plus for us personally, where breakfast was brought to your room and could be eaten eiter in your well equipped bedsit or balkony and use of a microwave oven if you so wished.
Dislikes:
have absolutely nothing negative to say about our stay

We liked everything about Amberton and is probably the best room we have ever stayed in. Everything you could ever need for a short break. Breakfast, including warm bread, was excellent. Thanks Wendy.

The room had every thing you needed , you could come and go as you pleased, everything was spotlessly clean and the breakfast menu was extensive. Beautiful views from the patio doors to your balcony.

Lovely situation with great views. Very comfortable room with an excellent en suite.
Dislikes:
The accomodation has a very steep driveway which wouldn't suit anyone with bad legs.

Our drive is steep, this much is true.
Thats why we have our lovely view.
If you feel your legs wont cope,
Drive your car to the top of the slope.
There is room to leave your auto here,
A level walk to your room, have no fear.
No room to turn might make you frown,
You need to be able to reverse back down ( not normally a problem ! )

On our arrival we were greeted with a very warm welcome from Wendy, nothing was too much trouble. We stayed for 4 nights, our room was immaculate in this beautifully kept B&B. Situated in the stunning location of Porlock. Just 10 mins walk from the town. We were allowed to
come and go as we pleased. Wendy baked us a fresh loaf of bread for breakfast, aswell as a continental breakfast menu, which we could choose what we wanted day by day, by means of filling out a chart. Read less

Brekkie was brought to our room at a time we choose, which could be eaten in the room or on our balcony!
The bed was very confortable. Amberton exceeded our expectations and is great value for money!
Dislikes:
the fact that we had to come home! :(

The bedroom and bathroom were both of a generous size and equipped very well. The continental style breakfast was wonderful and a great way to start the day.
