On arrival, we received a very friendly welcome and the offer of tea/coffee and homemade scones which was wonderful, especially after a long drive. The views from the house over the bay were spectacular, matched only by the fantastic breakfast on both mornings. Very comfy and clean rooms - seldom do you really notice the huge effort that has gone to make your stay as relaxed as possible! No hesitations about booking there again. Read less

Rooms were immaculately clean and very tastefully decorated. The cooked breakfast and the spread available for a small guesthouse was second to none. Loved the relaxed, helpful, friendly atmosphere.
Dislikes:
Price was a little hefty for the area, but, unlike other places, you do notice where the premium goes, and I would happily recommend this for those who want to pay a bit more for fantastic quality.

Excellent choice for breakfast which was beautifully cooked, bacon was cooked just to my liking without having to ask!Felt comfortable and relaxed at all times. Arrived safely with the directions given. We were early but were obligingly allowed to leave our car and luggage. We did some local walks along the coast path which was the main aim of our break. We ate out in some very good local restaurants. The situation and ambiance of this hotel were excellent. The views are very good but you certainly need to be fairly fit if you plan to walk in this area, many hills- which is of course the attraction. Taxi transfers from Lynton reasonably priced. Fantastic room decor.
Dislikes:
This is not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties, steep climb from town to hotel .... Short distance but 1:25 gradient! Views stunning when you get to car park.
