The cottage was clean, well furnished & homely with a great supply of games, books, DVDs, CDs & toys to dip into. The owners were on hand, welcoming, friendly and helpful, without being intrusive.
Dislikes:
The floor boards in places were rather creaky. More a problem for the teashop below than us.

The property is right in the centre of Rothbury so there is a bit of noise from the local pub and cars driving past however when the window was closed it wasnt bad.
I loved the attention to detail that the owners have done. There was the most thorough book of 'things to do' that i've ever seen in a hotel or b&b. We did a walk from it on Saturday. Read less

Spacious rooms, huge kitchen, fact there was a number of dvds to watch, they'd provided little extras (teabags and sugar, washing up liquid and a cloth). Best of all liked the activity book!
Dislikes:
It was so hot when we were there but we had to close the windows at night because of the pub & road noise. Only a minor issue which comes from being in the centre of Rothbury (which we liked)

Bridgeview House is undoubtedly one of the oldest buildings in the Coquetdale town of Rothbury, with foundations dating back to medieval times and a date above our front door of 1780. Today it is home to Harley's - our family-run Tea Room & Gift Shop and to our spacious and comfortable holiday accommodation. Located in the heart of Rothbury, Bridgeview House is an ideal base, with plenty to do in and around Rothbury, golfing discounts are available, the beautiful hills and moorland of the Northumberland National Park are on the dorrstep, as well as being in easy reach of Northumberland's spectacular coast with it's many castles, historic houses and beautiful gardens aplenty.
Bridgeview House has its own private access and ranges across the two upper floors of the building. The accommodation is spacious and airy throughout and is equipped and maintained to a high standard (ETB 4 star). The comfortable lounge, dining area, kitchen and bathroom are situated on the first floor. The bedrooms (master double and twin) are situated on the second floor.
Guests should be aware that Bridge View House has no dedicated parking adjacent to the accommodation, there is however, ample free car parking close by.
