Ideally situated for exploring the area. Thirsk and the The area has lots of good walking, history and things to do. There are at least 12 pubs in Thirsk within walking distance of each other and it's great to see them all with customers in.They are mostly traditional inn's and we should make sure they all stay open by supporting them. Likes:
Breakfast was very flexible. Although there is no specific veggie/vegan option, the staff were more than willing to prepare an alternative.
Dislikes:
Bedroom 7's window opens directly onto the roof, no safety measures to prevent anyone climbing out.

The Angel Inn offers a small residents lounge and 15 rooms all of which have en-suite bathrooms, TV, hairdryers and tea & coffee making facilities. Wifi on request* It is stated in local writings that one of the most notable house in Long Street is that of the Angel Inn. In the days of travelling by the stage coach men would stop to change horses and the travellers would rest and take refreshment at the Inn when travelling to Newcastle and the North.

The gentry travelling in their own carriages would also break their journey here. The Inn in its day was a large and roomy house with long passages. Indeed it is in such a house where one would expect to still here the echo of the coachman’s horn. In modern day, The Angel Inn is situated close to both the A19 and A1(M) and sits between The North Yorkshire Moors and the Yorkshire Dales.
