Response from Y Garth:
I note that you only gave a 4 for value : Having chosen to book a double room with private bathroom for £65 (as opposed to a larger room with ensuite which was £10 dearer) - I regard this as very good value for money for a 5* B&B (special last minute rate). Room / Facilities : 4 - really don't know what more you could want - I usually get the comment that I've thought of everything. You chose not to take advantage of the guest lounge and declined the offer of tea on arrival.

With distant sea views or countryside views ‘Y Garth’ offers superior accommodation (awarded the coveted 5* Gold award by Visit Wales for 2012 and 5* Highly Commended together with a breakfast award by the AA) in individual styled bedrooms; one luxury double ensuite bedroom (Strumble - with distant sea and countryside views); one luxury superkingsize double or twin room - (Preseli - countryside views); one luxury double bedroom with private bathroom (Carn Ingli - countryside views). All are tastefully decorated with co-ordinated furnishings. The beds are indulgent, very comfortable and dressed with quality linens which make staying at Y Garth even more special. The bathrooms are equipped with invigorating monsoon power showers with plenty of mains pressure hot water, lovely soft white bath towels, dressing gowns and bath products.

Wall hung flat screen TV/DVDs are standard, with hospitality trays, fridges and comprehensive guest information files in all rooms, as are hairdryers and radio-alarm clocks. Small luxury touches give additional pleasure. Guest lounge. Breakfast at Y Garth certainly is a Welsh / Pembrokeshire experience - having recently won the Pembrokeshire Produce Award for the best use of Pembrokeshire produce in a hospitality establishment. Fresh home baked bread. Private parking.

Located in the village of Dinas Cross on the main Fishguard to Newport main road (A487). Within a short walking distance to the coastpath. The headland at Dinas is one of the most spectacular along the Pembrokeshire Coast (which is saying a great deal) and provides excellent views across Fishguard Bay to the south and Newport Bay to the north. Plenty of glorious scenic walks to take in golden sandy beaches, spectacular cliffs, estuary and mountain. Warm Welsh welcome.
