The breakfast was good - served by friendly, helpful staff.
Dislikes:
St Ives is starting to suffer from the same problems as other resorts - binge drinking and the ensuing vomiting. Not very pleasant to listen to out in the street when you are trying to sleep!

We sympathise with the guest's views regarding binge drinking, however the problem in St Ives is actually diminishing with the closure in recent years of at least one nightclub and with changes in licensing laws. Also the guest had a room at the front of the hotel on a busy square and we can allocate quieter rooms if preferred.

Our hotel is located right in the centre of town, close to the local art galleries, restaurants, shops, harbour and beaches. The railway station, bus station and taxi rank are also nearby. One of the best located hotels for your holiday in St Ives.
The Western in St. Ives has fifteen en suite bedrooms - one three-bed room (one double and two singles), three large twin rooms (one double bed and one single bed), seven double rooms, two twin rooms and two single rooms.
We cater for both the holiday and commercial sectors, and we can also accommodate group bookings for mixed-sex parties, stag and hen parties, sports teams/clubs and schools.
All of our bedrooms and bars are non-smoking, but we do have a purpose built outdoor area for smokers with plenty of seating and shelter.
A great place to stay in the heart of town.
The hotel has a large function room where we can cater for a variety of events and occasions - parties, weddings and other functions.
We also have two public bars, which serve local real ales and the usual range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, tea and coffee.
Wireless internet access is available in our bars, beer garden and some of the bedrooms.
