Proprietors Paul and Penny are proud to be the new owners of Waterloo House Guest House in Lynton, Devon. The Guest House is child and pet free and dates back to 1828 making it the oldest in Lynton,and is a grade II listed Georgian building. It is small and peaceful with quaint features and has its own Restaurant. There are 2 double guest rooms, a spacious twin room, a small single room and a suite with double bed, living room, dressing room. All rooms have ensuite bathroom facilities.
Each room has a mini fridge for fresh milk for making tea and coffee,hair dryer and TV.
Food service is a two course menu five days a week with a special À la carte menu on Thursday & Friday. Dishes range from Steak & Kidney Pie, Oxtail, Chicken Fricasse with Wild Mushrooms and Beef Bourguignon to Salmon Fillet. For vegetarians we offer pasta dishes, Risottos' and some special dishes. We are particularly proud of our cheese selection and fine coffee.
Paul says: "We tend toward English and French classic dishes using the best available ingredients with a distinct influence of old fashioned home cooking with home made stocks, bread and ice cream."
Waterloo House is the perfect base for accessing Exmoor. Experience an Exmoor Safari by a guide with naturalised local knowledge, and very comfortable transport. It is the perfect place to shed stress and to reconnect with the gentle English Countryside and its wild life.
