"Our best bed abd breakfast ever."
We were welcomed into a beautiful home where a log fire blazed in the guest drawing room and a grand piano stood in the corner. After settling in, Harold brought in a tray of tea and a delicious strawberry cream gateau which was most welcome. All the rooms were spotless and every detail had been considered. Our host was wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. Certainly, we plan to visit again in the future. Read less

"A home and a host beyond imagination!"

From our first contact over the phone until 'we can't wait to return'-farewell, we couldn't imagine it to be that extraordinary! If you are fond of genuine Late Victorian and Royalty, you'll love it. If not, you will become! Passing the threshold will blast you back in time...
Moreover, we planned this trip to visit quiet some National Thrust properties and found The Victorian Bed & Breakfast just in the centre of those magnificent buildings and gardens, all within a range of about 20 miles! Read less

Just everything! The most friendly, helpful and eloquent host Harold who gives you the instant feeling of being at (your - wish it was...) home; the decoration; bed with linen sheets and pillows, all!
Dislikes:
Not at all. Although it was August, summer temperatures were far to be found leaving the bathroom a bit chilly. But I guess it was just a matter of asking Harold how to put on the design radiator.

Built in 1861, the house in leafy Tunbridge Wells has never been as Victorian as it is now. So says Harold, whose devotion to Victoriana knows no bounds. Deep colours, rich velvets, marble tables, authentic wallpapers, tasselled lamps, portraits of Queen Victoria, tea and scones by the fire…
Be prepared to take a serious step back in time. Bedrooms are simple in comparison: ruched chintz in the ground-floor double, damask in the twin below - and a door to the conservatory. Bathrooms have large mirrors and brand new fittings, breakfast is a locally sourced spread. Those in search of heritage will marvel...
