The hotel owner was friendly and accommodating.
Dislikes:
The room was small and nowhere near as attractive as the hotel's exterior, plus there was a lot of noise from people and cars outside.

Our bed was awful! You just had to move an arm or a leg and the squeaking was deafening. Certainly not a good place to have a little "indulgement" with your loved one unless you don't mind waking the entire hotel. The breakfast however was beautiful. Eggs done perfectly. Our room was very clean, had all you'd need for an overnight stay and the staff were very friendly. The hotel itself was also very nice and in a great location-Centre of town! Read less

We liked the fact that this hotel was so close to the town. 5 minute walk from all you can eat chinese restaurant Cosmos. Bargain eleven ninety nine for great food! We reccommend it to all!
Dislikes:
Purely disliked the bed. It was so noisy that when my husband turned over in the night, the sheer noise from the bed would wake me.

This magnificent hotel has been sympathetically restored and modernised by the owners to meet the 21st century requirements. Today it provides elegant accommodation with 25 rooms - some with a balcony and sea views.
Our restaurant provides excellent food and there are many superb leisure facilities at your disposal includes restaurants, bars and night entertainment programmes.
Vernon House offers everything you need on your own doorstep. We are just 100 metres from Eastbourne's famous promenade and very close to the pier, bandstand and town centre. The main railway station and shopping centre are just a few minutes walk away. Eastbourne has an enviable sunshine record which ranks amongst the top in the country and our beaches have won at least one seaside award every year. Our great town offers different events, such as Airbourne, the largest free Air Show in the UK .
Eastbourne provides numerous attractions such as the theatre, castles, golf, tennis, gardens, Sovereign harbour, the towering cliffs of Beachy Head and the beautiful Marina. It is an excellent place for foreign cuisines, shopping and night life. Delight in picturesque villages in the surrounding areas, glorious gardens in Kent & Sussex and vineyards and historic homes. We are close to the cosmopolitan City of Brighton which is 30 minutes away and the fabulous Tunbridge Wells is a 40 minutes away.
