The Unicorn Inn

Our priority is to make our guests feel welcome from the moment they arrive whether it is for just a drink in the bar, an excellent meal, an overnight stay or a special function.

The Unicorn Inn is a newly refurbished (March 2011) Grade ll listed building; originally a coaching inn, with some parts of the original building dating back to the 1600's. We are located in the market square of the attractive village of Deddington, Oxfordshire on the edge of the edge of the Cotswolds in the middle of historic middle England.

Karen and her team have set out to develop the Unicorn as:
•The Deddington “local” of choice
•A destination Restaurant of a high enough standard and value that people will travel a reasonable distance
•An Inn with accommodation and service of sufficient value that it will be sort out by people coming to the area, be it for business or pleasure.
•A place were people can hold their special function or businesses their conference, board meeting or workshop – knowing they can rely on the quality of service.

Karen is the General Manager focusing on front of house who together with our exceptional Head Chef Andy - see Food and Drink - is responsible for the total service at the Unicorn.
In addition to our restaurant and 7 bed rooms, we have a lovely snug, a cosy bar, a versatile function room and a spaciousenclosed garden… where on warm days you can enjoy a drink or indulge in our a la carte menu.


Open: Monday – Sunday: 12 noon to 11pm

Lunch: 12 noon to 2.30pm (ex Mondays)

Dinner: 6pm to 9pm (ex Mondays)

Sundays: Food served 12 noon– 8pm
