TOWER is the only Welsh fortified border house still standing and, as such, is listed as a Grade 1 building of outstanding historical interest. For more than five hundred years TOWER has passed down through the family and has evolved from a lair for marauding raiders into the peaceful, gentrified home of the present owner.

TOWER is ideally situated for visiting the many other Historic Houses, Castles and National Trust properties such as Chirk, Erddig, and Bodnant Garden in North Wales, or Arley Hall & Gardens, Lyme Park, Ness Gardens and Tatton Park in Cheshire. For culture lovers there is Theatre Clwyd in Mold, the Welsh National Portrait Gallery at Bodelwyddan Castle and Llangollen the home of the International Eisteddfod.

Here are some more you could visit and see: Lady Lever Art Gallery in Port Sunlight, not forgetting the walled city of Chester with its Roman amphitheatre, Elizabethan architecture, world famous Zoo and Roodee Racecourse which are just a few miles away. Walkers can try Offa’s Dyke, the Clwydian Hills or various walks along the North Wales coast and the Dee estuary – or a gentle stroll round the gardens of TOWER.
