Stayed here for one night while in the area on business and I was really impressed. Normally I avoid small boutique/B&B type places because they can be a little too personal. This place strikes exactly the right balance. Read less

The Mowbray is an established, family run guest accommodation located in the heart of Eastbourne’s theatre land. We are yards away from the seafront and conference centres, with the town centre a few minutes walk away.

The resident owners, Darren and Laura, take great pride in the stylish décor, cleanliness, friendly atmosphere and home cooked food. We hope to provide a cosy “home away from home” feeling.

All our rooms are ensuite and all have colour TV with access to 17 channels, DVD players (with free access to a DVD library of over 200 titles) and tea/coffee making facilities. Our 13 rooms are all outward facing with most overlooking the IDevonshire Park Tennis club and the Devonshire Theatre. Wi-Fi is available throughout the building for guest use free of charge.

Whether you want to escape the hustle and bustle of life or sit down for a pre-theatre drink the Terrace lounge-bar, located on the ground floor and over looking Lascelles Terrace and the Devonshire Park Theatre, is the ideal location to take in our informal ambience. Afternoon tea and light snacks are also served in the lounge at selected times.

A cold buffet of cereals, yogurts, baked goods and fruits is followed by a traditional English breakfast. The best possible start to the day! Dinner inclusive rates are also available. We serve traditional British fare. From traditional roasts to daily fish dishes, there is bound to be something to tickle your taste buds from our daily three course menu.

We offer excellent value for money and a personal service that is just not provided by a larger establishment.
