Needed somewhere to stay as were going on a vintage railway trip from Swindon to Llandudno leaving at 6.45am hotel was ideally placed in such close proximity to train station and great to b back in our rooms within minutes of our 10pm return. Arrived 6pm Friday someone soon came to help and we quickly checked in shown our room information on keys doors and lighting was given and information left in room welcoming us. The closeness to railway station , free parking permit enabled us to leave car there while on all day train trip . Room away from main bar eating area, towels/bedding clean ,room was a decent size .
Dislikes:
Room need some work husband had put curtains back up ! scum line round bath, no room attendance 2nd day no bed made/no clean towels / milk n teabags not refilled so no drink Sunday morn! Noisy outside

Serving excellent drinks and substantial home-cooked food in a relaxed and comfortable environment, The GW is the perfect location for relaxing after work or enjoying a meal from the extensive menu.
Our recently refurbished first floor bar can be taken over for up to 70 people for private functions. We can provide the catering and entertainment.
