Dislikes:
The towels were damp,and the t.v. didn't work. Also thought breakfast was included in price,but had to pay extra, although reasonable price for a good meal.

We have relatives who have stayed here without issue, however we arrived to a cold room, on a cold day, when the heaters eventually worked the room smelt of damp and mustiness. The tea/coffee facilities consisited of 2 cups, 3 saucers for 3 adults, and were not replenished at all, there was no maid visit on either days of our sytay. 3 tea bags, no coffee and cream/milk cartons that were off. The TV didn't work and the bathroom was grubby. THe towles also felt damp. Read less

The food was excellent, well cooked anmd plenty to eat at breakfast. The pub provided an excellent menu.
Dislikes:
The room seemed damp, a lack of ammenities and maid service. Granted we did not pursue these as we assumed it would happen automatically. It was as if the room was not checked prior to our arrival.

The Friendly Spirit is a beautiful pub & restaurant located on the edge of the Quantick Hills at Cannington just on the outskirts of bridgwater set in a picturesque location with a large beer garden running along side a country brook. This creates a beautiful setting for all the family to enjoy. The garden also consists of a children's play area to give mums and dads the rest they deserve.
The property boast 9 luxury en-suite bedrooms all with tea and coffee facilities, colour TV and one of the rooms is equipped for disabled people at ground floor level. All of our food is freshly prepared to order by our award winning chef and all sourced as locally as possible. This family owned village inn is one of a small select group of West Country Inns under the Webb Enterprises banner.
