Likes:
Very little
Dislikes:
Unfortunely nothing like expected from web site, room was not a twin but a double with extra bed for child. Very noisy with road noise, surely double glazing should have been installed.
Response from The Coach and Horses Inn:
We are sorry you didn't like our pub - it is old and traditional, but with a good heart. Perhaps some people are better suited to expensive hotels rather than inn accommodation. Any potential guests reading these reviews will see that you are in a minority of one. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review though.

The family-friendly pub is on the main A35 to the west country, and as such lends itself beautifully as a base for exploring the lovely Dorset countryside and it's amazing jurrassic coast, to a quick 'pit-stop' for the weary traveller. It's perfect too, for a casual lunch wih friends or a special family celebration.

We have five en-suite letting rooms, all light, airy and comfortable, with remote TV's, free Wi-fi and hospitality trays with prices ranginging from £45 to £90 per room, including a "wicked" full English breakfast (with lighter options if preferred). The pub is disabled friendly with easy access to the restaurant, bar and toilets, but as yet there is no lift to the guest rooms which are all on the first floor.

The coach and horses is a traditional pub, renowned for it's warm welcome and great friendly atmosphere, with a large car park and a well stocked bar offering lagers, west country ciders, real ales, local and guest, wine by the bottle and glass, as well as a large selection of soft drinks and coffees for those "on the move". Our extensive menu is available throughout, including the garden (complete with small children's play area and aviary) and ranges from a bowl of chips to gourmet specials and everything in between, so the choice is yours. We also have a carvery every lunchtime and at the weekends, and the exciting Black Rock Grill if you would like to try something different.

The number 31 bus stops right outside the front door and provides service to the popular seaside resort of Weymouth stopping in the historic county town of Dorchester, closely associated with the famous novelist Thomas Hardy, and in the other direction to Axminster stopping at Bridport and another popular seaside resort, Lyme Regis. There are also numerous other local attractions worth a visit and we have listed many of these on our website under things to do in Dorset.
