It was clean with a friendly atmosphere, The landlord was very helpfull, when asked where could we eat he give us the names of quite a few places with a choice of chinese to pub grub.entertainment 10+
Dislikes:
Yes the matresses would have been nice if there had some padding in them, all we could feel were the springs, very uncomfortable that the only complaint, i would change these asap. otherwise 10/10

Arrived late afternoon, earlier than expected, and that was no problem. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was basic...self service "continental" style products left in room, but adequate. Spent evening in the pub playing pool and felt no need to go anywhere else.. Read less

The Swan Inn offers the perfect place to stay when in Stranraer. Centrally located in Sheuchan Street, opposite the excellent Agnew Park with great views across Loch Ryan, located only 3 minutes drive from the ferry terminal, we offer a complimentary pick up service from all local arival points, and just five minutes walk from the town centre shops and facilities. The Swan also offers free off road cark parking for customers using the facilities, and even a child friendly beer garden and play facilities.
The Swan Inn has two spacious centrally-heated family rooms, with satellite TV point, tea and coffee making facilities and both with newly-installed en-suite comprising wash basin, shower, WC and heated towel rail.
The Swan Inn also hosts a range of organised activities including three domino teams, a darts team and a pool team as well as live entertainment on Saturday nights and a folk evening every Wednesday ensuring a great atmosphere and a great night out.
The Swan serves a range of beers, lagers and spirits and offers bed and breakfast accommodation, ideal for those looking for the perfect base to explore the surrounding area or travellers from the Stena Ferries to Ireland. The ferry terminal is just a short 10 minute walk or 5 minute drive away
