"A Touch of class"
We very much enjoyed our stay at Strongarbh House. The rooms were decorated with style and there were a lot of nice finishing touches in the room. The breakfasts were fantastic - even now I still think of the 'special' that I was fortunate to enjoy two of the three days (by request)we stayed. The owners were very helpful and keen to make the stay enjoyable. Read less

Perched on a cliff above Tobermory Bay, Strongarbh is a handsome Victorian villa providing comfortable and distinctive accommodation - an ideal base from which to explore the Isle of Mull. The house, set in spacious gardens and just a short walk to the harbour, offers a relaxing retreat in the heart of the town.

Strongarbh offers luxurious bedrooms, tempting breakfasts and stylish public rooms in a beautiful period house filled with an eclectic collection of books and contemporary art. The four guest rooms are individually styled, each with its own unique character and feel and all have en-suite bath and shower facilities. The breakfast menu offers a wide range of seasonal choices, including a changing daily special.

Tobermory, with it's brightly coloured houses and distinctive shops, is considered by many to be one of the prettiest towns in the Hebrides. The island itself is a great place to come and unwind, or take the opportunity to explore the outstanding scenery and catch a glimpse of some of the most diverse wildlife to be found anywhere in the world. Throughout the season, Mull offers a wide variety of outdoor activities including wildlife safaris, whale and dolphin watching trips, walking, cycling and yachting. There is also an active cultural life of festivals, arts and crafts, music and theatre, and of course, a good measure of traditional highland hospitality. Mull also provides an ideal base to explore the neighbouring islands of Iona, Ulva, Staffa and the Treshnish Isles.
Environmental Statement
Strongarbh House is committed to ethical and sustainable business practice in all areas, from food to finance; water to waste. In 2008 a carbon neutral woodchip boiler was installed, providing ample hot water and heating for the entire house from a locally sourced fuel supply. The boiler house also serves as a drying room, so no need for a tumble dryer! As far as possible all our breakfast produce is sourced from local producers and suppliers, including the community-owned butchers, mull museli and island organics. We strive to ensure other items are fairtrade and organic where appropriate. We also have a real committment to reducing packaging and recycling waste in all areas.
