The staff were friendly, courteous and couldn't do enough to make us feel comfortable. The room was clean and comfortable, the food was nice and served promptly.
Dislikes:
There wasn't any hot water during our stay, it was very mildly tepid at best. covered in soot from steam train so annoying. did get apology but no refund.

It is ideally located for visiting York and its many attractions such as the Railway Museum, The Jorvic Centre and The Shambles.
The hotel is also on the doorstep of the charming Yorkshire Dales and the east coast of England.
The Steer Inn’s restaurant is famous for serving beautifull steaks and its reputation draws diners from miles around. There is also a fully licensed bar where guests can sample the fine ales on offer. For your convenience, free parking is available. The Steer Inn warmly welcomes both business and leisure travelers.
