The breakfast was generous and well-planned to cater for every dietary need. The service was exceptional, and the location highly convenient for reaching the centre of York. Read less

The breakfast/cleaning lady was particularly charming and accommodating.
Breakfast included a wide range of cereals, yoghurts and fresh fruit, together with several cooked options.
Dislikes:
Our room (The Hobbit Room) seemed more appropriate to children, and for tall people (both 6 ft/1 metre 80) like us it
required constant manoeuvring to avoid banging our heads!

A warm welcome awaits you at this Grade 2 listed Guest House in a residential area yet only a 10 minute walk into the city. A hearty breakfast is served and special diets can be requested. There is a large free secure car park at the rear. Guests have access to wireless internet free of charge.
Most rooms have been refurbished with new modern en-suites, all have flat screen HDTV/DVD, complimentary toiletries, hospitality tray, hairdryer, iron and board available at reception (no charge).
Handy for York's historic attractions, railway station, racecourse and the east coast, Yorkshire Dales etc. On a bus route. Smoking rooms are available on request (subject to availability). The majority of our rooms are large family rooms and we may accept group bookings.
Licenced bar catering for residents (limited availability; please check) & non residents' small functions.
