The hotel is smallscale and the owners do their best to make the stay as comfortable as possible. Great food, as advertised, and a very good atmosphere. The rooms are spacious and very tidy.

All rooms have en-suite facilities and are equipped with flat screened TVs, DVD players, Wi Fi internet access, together with tea and coffee facilities. Breakfast is taken in the restaurant and offers a choice of a full English breakfast as well as lighter choices. We are happy to cater to any special dietary needs, do let us know in advance if possible. When you eat at The Ship Inn you’ll experience great tasting, well presented food … so good that you’ll want to return again and again like so many of our food loving diners and guests. All the food is freshly prepared on the premises and sourced from local suppliers. We endeavour to only use foods that are in season and only of the highest quality.

The Menu changes with the seasons, as does the atmosphere in the dining room. From intimate & cosy with an open fire during the winter, to light & airy with fresh flowers throughout the summer months. The restaurant is really quite different to most, as we do not follow trends, it is, therefore, much more individual and there is a sort of country elegance about it.
The atmosphere is relaxed and the lighting is soft and warm.

Whatever you choose, whether one of our wide range of quality wines by the glass, your favourite pint or one of our freshly ground coffees, it’s sure to go down well. We pride ourselves to serve properly presented drinks with a warm welcome.

Real Ales are supplied by the Sharp’s brewery located at the Rock Cornwall and The Wickwar Brewing Company based at Wickwar in Gloucestershire.

The Ship Inn makes a perfect place to make a base whilst you explore the surrounding area. Some of the rooms have amazing views of the River Severn, a great place to see the amazing natural phenomenon of the Severn Bore!
