The breakfast was superb in all respects, nice dining room good service and hot food. Car parking was avaialable at rear of hotel.The hotel was a very short distance from the sea front

Our room did have an en-suite bath with a shower attachment at bath level.The only slight let down for us was that it did not have seperate shower fixing on wall.

The Sheldon is a beautiful detached Victorian building that was reopened in May'11. Following major renovation and a successful first season in 2011 it is poised for an extended 2012 season with an even further enhanced product.
Outside improvements in 2012 include decoration to the car park area and the entire back of the building.
On the inside a special suite has been created with super king size bed, standout bath and shower unit, flat screen satellite tv and luxury amenities.
The Sheldons bedrooms are beautifully decorated with Haitian paintings, furnished to a high standard and are ensuite with all the amenities you would expect from a boutique hotel.
Bedrooms comprise 15 doubles/ twins/ superiors and 6 singles. All doubles/twins have 26'' or 32'' flat screen wall mounted tvs, singles have 22'' flat screen tvs with satellite with 110 channels.
Complimentary teas, coffees, hot chocolates and biscuits are provided in the bedrooms.
Sheldon guests are provided with high quality toiletries, lovely white linen and towels for personal comfort.
Breakfast is taken in the feature dining room with an enviable choice of cooked meals and a large Continental buffet. The Sheldon prides itself on providing very high quality breakfasts with excellent service.
Situated just 1 minutes walk to the beach and a few hundred yards to the theatres, conference centres and Devonshire Park tennis club. The Sheldon is also just a 5 minute walk from the train and bus stations.
The Sheldon is unique in Eastbourne, being detached and having a large car park and the experience includes a personal approach ensuring guests feel comfortable and at home.
